There are many great books on fluid mechanics. I am listing below only those books which I have read at least to a reasonable extent and referred for writing the material in this blog.
Basic Fluid Mechanics:
1. Kundu P.K., Cohen I.M., 'Fluid Mechanics', 4th edition, Academic Press, 2010.
2. Batchelor G.K., 'Introduction to Fluid Dynamics', CUP, 1967.
3. Karamcheti K., 'Principles of Ideal-Fluid Aerodynamics', Krieger Pub Co, 1980.
Advanced Topics:
1. Schilichting H., 'Boundary Layer Theory', 7th edition, McGraw-Hill, 1979.
2. Rosenhead L.(ed.), 'Laminar Boundary Layers', Dover, 1988.
As far as possible, I try to plot the figures on my own using MATLAB or other plotting softwares. But, some figures are taken from the following books.
1. Van Dyke M., 'An Album of Fluid Motion' , Parabolic Press, 1982.
